Accomplishments

WHEREAS,
BE IT RESOLVED |
the original mission of the Polish American Congress to secure a free and democratic
Poland has been accomplished,
that a greater emphasis be placed on American political, economical and social issues
with an emphasis on approaching local, state and national government offices about
matters regarding Polish-Americans and all Americans. |

WHEREAS,
BE IT RESOLVED |
Census 2010 blatantly ignores the count of Polish-Americans,
that the Polish American Congress recommend to those of Polish descent to write in
"Polish" next to the designation "white". |

WHEREAS,
BE IT RESOLVED |
all applications for membership in the Polish American Congress currently submitted
must be approved by the national executive board,
that the Executive Committee prepare an amendment to the Bylaws stating that each
State Division have the right to approve or disapprove membership applications. |

This matter had been brought up earlier in the meeting when discussing finances,
and was referred to the Executive Committee for review
and consideration. |

This was referred to the Executive Committee, especially the Vice-President for Public
Relations, and to the chairman of the Anti-Bigotry Committee to review and act
upon. |
